What Quna is
Quna is bought with real money. NCSOFT's Global business-model update describes it buying items in the shop, buying the premium Battle Pass (the Daeva Pass), and buying Kina from other players through a player-run exchange. The Korean client calls it 큐나. In Taiwan, the premium currency is 永恆寶石.
The Kina ↔ Quna Exchange
The Exchange lets players swap Kina and Quna with each other. On Global, the Exchange, like the Market and personal trade, requires an active Special Quai Membership. Rates are set by players, so they move with supply and demand.
Quna and the Daeva Pass
The Daeva Pass is bought per character, and its premium track is paid in Quna. NCSOFT's notice lists Premium at 1,500 Quna for the faction passes ("Dawn Legion" for Elyos, "Ishalgen Mercenary" for Asmodians) and 1,000 Quna for "Planet's Call", with extra pass levels at 50 Quna each. Premium pass rewards include the Daeva Pass Shop Coin.
Tracking Quna spending without double-counting
Real money changes hands when you buy Quna (or buy a cash product like a membership). Spending Quna on the Daeva Pass or shop items later isn't new real-money spending. In the Spending Calculator, log the Quna pack you paid for (category "Premium currency") and don't log the pass again.
Quna you get from other players through the Exchange cost Kina, not money, so it doesn't belong in the real-money log either.
