How to measure farming profit honestly

“Kina per hour” sounds simple, but it's easy to fool yourself: forgetting the potions you bought before the run, counting loot twice, or remembering the one great session and not the three slow ones. The tracker uses one formula for every session:

Kina in = ending balance − starting balance (or Kina picked up)
Gross = Kina in + loot sold separately
Net = gross − consumables − other costs
Net per hour = net ÷ (minutes ÷ 60)

Balance mode vs. “total picked up”

Balance before & after is the most reliable: anything you bought or sold during the session is already reflected. Only add costs you paid before starting, such as consumables bought in advance, and loot you'll sell afterwards. Total picked up suits sessions where you didn't note your balance. Enter the Kina you collected, then the loot sold and the costs separately.

Reading your leaderboard

Activities are ranked by time-weighted net Kina per hour, so longer sessions count proportionally. A route with a great “best session” but a lower average is a gamble, while a steady average is what to plan around. Use the date chips to compare this week against last month after a patch changes drop rates.

From farming rate to goals

Once you've logged three sessions (an hour in total), the Kina Planner can use your recorded average to estimate how long any goal will take, and the Upgrade Budget Calculator tells you how big that goal should be for an enhancement.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my AION 2 farming profit per hour?
Note your Kina before and after a session, add any loot you sold separately, subtract potions or other costs not already taken out of your balance, then divide by the hours played. The tracker does this automatically for every session and keeps a time-weighted average for each activity.
Should I enter loot I sold during the session?
Only if that money is not already in the Kina you entered. If you sold loot mid-session, it's already in your ending balance, so leave “Loot sold separately” at 0. Use that field for loot you sell later, so the same Kina is never counted twice.
Why is the average time-weighted?
Averaging each session's rate would let a lucky 5-minute run count as much as a 3-hour grind. Total net Kina divided by total hours gives the rate you actually earned across all your playtime.
Can I use my farming rate in the Kina Planner?
Yes. After three sessions totalling at least an hour, the Kina Planner offers your recorded average as the Kina-per-hour input. It's labelled as your own history, not a universal rate.
Are these official AION 2 farming rates?
No. Everything here comes from the sessions you log. We don't publish “best farming spots” or typical rates, because they shift with patches, servers and market prices.
