Gaming costs are rarely one line item. This calculator doesn't judge any of those purchases. The goal is simply to make the full number visible so spending decisions happen with awareness.
Game purchases feel different from subscriptions because they're infrequent — a $70 game in January feels disconnected from your monthly budget. Converting everything to a monthly equivalent (annual costs ÷ 12, weekly costs × 52 ÷ 12) shows the true recurring rate and makes gaming costs comparable to other budget line items.
Gacha mechanics — variable-rate pulls for cosmetics or power — are specifically designed to obscure spending. The cost is converted from real currency into in-game tokens first, and purchase history is typically buried.
