How the Kina planner works

The planner turns three things you know (what you have, what you need, and how fast you earn) into a finish date. Every number is calculated in your browser from your own inputs. There are no built-in farming rates, because those change with patches, servers and the market.

Weekly gross = Kina per hour × hours per day × days per week
Weekly net = weekly gross − recurring costs (a per-day cost counts 7 times)
Calendar days = remaining Kina ÷ (weekly net ÷ 7), rounded up
Farming hours = remaining Kina ÷ net Kina per hour played

Earnings are averaged across the week, so a 3-day-a-week player gets a finish date that accounts for the days off. If your recurring costs are as large as your earnings, the balance never grows, and the planner tells you so instead of showing a fake date.

Getting a realistic Kina per hour

  1. Write down your Kina balance before a session.
  2. Play your usual route for a set time, say 60 minutes.
  3. Subtract the starting balance from the ending balance, add any loot you sell afterwards, and subtract potions or repairs you bought separately.
  4. Divide by the hours played. Repeat a few times and average.

The Farming Session Tracker does this for you and remembers each activity. Once you've logged three sessions, the planner shows a “Use my average” button with your own recorded rate, clearly labelled as your history and not a universal number.

Planning around a deadline

Add a target date to see whether your current pace gets you there, plus the pace you'd need: net Kina per calendar day, per playing day, and the gross Kina per hour that covers your recurring costs. Use it for a weekly reset, an event that ends, or a guild progression night.

Kina, Kinah and which balance counts

Kina is AION 2's main in-game currency. NCSOFT's Global English notices spell it “Kina”, though many players still search for “Kinah”. Not every balance pays for everything. Some rewards come as bound Kina, and in the Korean and Taiwanese versions bound Kina can't be spent on the Market or in trades. On Global, the Market itself needs an active membership. The “Funds counted” field records which balance a goal relies on, so your plans stay honest. The AION 2 Kina guide has the sourced details.

Frequently asked questions

How does the AION 2 Kina planner estimate my completion date?
It multiplies your Kina per hour by your hours per day and days per week to get weekly earnings, subtracts any recurring costs, and spreads the result evenly across the week. Remaining Kina divided by that daily average gives the number of calendar days, which is added to today's date.
Is it Kina or Kinah?
Same currency. NCSOFT's English notices for the Global version spell it "Kina" (one notice uses "Kinah", the spelling from the original AION), so this tool works as a Kinah calculator too. We use "Kina" throughout the toolkit.
What Kina per hour should I enter?
Use your own numbers. Note your balance, farm for a timed session, and divide the gain by the hours played. If you log sessions in the Farming Session Tracker, the planner offers your recorded average once you have at least three sessions and an hour of play. We don't publish "typical" farming rates because they change with patches, servers and markets.
Can every Kina I own pay for my goal?
Not always. Global rewards include "Kina (Bound)" items, and in the Korean and Taiwanese versions bound Kina can't be used for Market purchases or personal trades. NCSOFT hasn't published the Global rules in English yet. Each goal records which balance you counted ("Funds counted"), so enter only the Kina that can actually pay for that purchase. On Global, buying from the Market also needs an active membership.
Where are my goals saved?
Only in this browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes them. A share link contains only the planner inputs of the goal you share, never your other goals.
