The backup includes your accounts, transactions, budget categories, bills, goals, debts and hunter progress. Receipt photos and Huntee chats aren't included. To restore, tap Restore and choose the file, and you'll see what's in the backup before anything changes. Restoring replaces all the data in the app and can't be undone, and then the app reloads with your backup. Export a fresh one now and then, especially before you switch phones.

0:00 Open Data Backup
Even without Hunter Vault Cloud, you can back up your data for free, as a file you keep yourself. Tap the gear to open Settings.
Scroll down to Data and support, and tap Data backup.
0:14 Export a backup and save it to Files
Export saves your Hunter Vault data into one backup file. It's made on your phone and works offline. Tap Export.
Now choose where to keep it. You can send it to a cloud drive or to your computer. I'll tap Save to Files.
Pick a folder and tap Save. The file name has today's date, so you can keep more than one.
0:38 What the backup includes
The backup includes your accounts, transactions, budget categories, bills, goals, debts, and your hunter progress. Receipt photos and Huntee chats aren't included.
0:51 Restore from a backup file
To restore, on this phone or a new one, tap Restore and choose the backup file.
Before anything changes, you'll see what's in the backup. Restoring replaces all the data currently in the app, and it can't be undone. Tap Restore.
The app reloads with the data from your backup.
Export a fresh backup now and then, especially before you switch phones. If you'd rather have it automatic and synced across devices, that's Hunter Vault Cloud. Links to download Hunter Vault are in the description.
