How Quests, XP and Ranks Work in Hunter Vault

This is step 8, the last video in the Hunter Vault tutorial. Daily quests are real money tasks, like checking in or logging today's spending, and they reset every day. I log a $4.50 coffee, and the Track Today's Spending quest completes by itself, with nothing to claim. Weekly quests reset every week and pay more, side quests are one-time challenges, and Main Story is a chain of chapters that teaches you the app.

All that XP builds your rank: six ranks from E to S, each with five tiers. D rank starts at 5,000 XP. When your XP reaches the next rank, an Ascend button appears, and ranking up pays bonus XP and gold. Keeping a streak earns more XP, from a small bonus at 3 days to 25% more at 30 days.

Paid features shown: none. Recorded on a Premium account. Features and pricing can change; check the app for current details.

0:00 Open your daily quests

In this last Start Here video, you'll see how Hunter Vault turns budgeting into a game: quests, XP, and ranks. On the home screen, tap the Daily Quest card.

0:13 How daily quests work

This is the Quest screen. Daily quests reset every day. The card at the top shows how many you've cleared, your streak, and your XP.

Each quest is a real money task, like checking in, logging today's spending, or reflecting at the end of the day. Finishing one gives you XP and gold. Let's do Track Today's Spending.

0:36 Complete a quest by logging an expense

Tap the Quick Log button, then Add Expense.

I bought a coffee for $4.50. Food and groceries is already selected. Tap Add Expense.

That's it. Let's head back to the home screen.

The quest completed by itself. Daily is now 2 out of 6, so there's nothing to claim. Tap the quest card again.

1:02 Weekly, side and main story quests

There are four kinds of quests. Weekly quests reset every week and pay more.

Side quests are one-time challenges. Main Story is a chain of chapters that teaches you the app, one step at a time.

1:17 Ranks E to S and rank tiers

All that XP builds your rank. Go back, then open Profile, and in Hunter Progress, tap Rank Details.

There are six ranks, from E up to S, and each one has five tiers. I'm at E three, with 2,155 XP.

1:36 How to rank up (Ascend)

When your XP reaches the next rank, an Ascend button appears here. Tap it to rank up and get bonus XP and gold. D rank starts at 5,000 XP.

1:48 Streak XP bonus

Keep a streak going to earn more XP. At 3 days you get a small bonus, and at 30 days you earn 25% more.

That's the end of the Start Here series. You've set up your budget, your accounts, your goals, and Safe to Spend. Check the other playlists for each feature in more detail. Links to download Hunter Vault are in the description.
