0:00 Open your goals
In this video you'll create a savings goal and add money to it. Start by tapping Profile at the bottom.
In the Armory section, tap Goals.
This is your goals list. I already have an emergency fund here, so let's add a second goal. Tap the plus button.
0:19 Pick a goal and set a target
Pick a quick preset, or choose Custom. I'm saving for a laptop, so I'll tap Laptop. It fills in the name for you.
Now set the target. Tap the amount and enter $1,200, then tap Done.
The category, icon, and currency are filled in, and you can change them here. Tap Continue.
0:44 Track money you have vs set money aside
Next, choose how you'll save. Track money I already have follows the balances of accounts you pick, and nothing moves. Set money aside moves money into a separate balance just for this goal. I'll use Set money aside.
0:59 Pick a deadline and get a monthly plan
Then pick when you want to reach it. I'll keep 6 months.
Hunter Vault works out the plan for you: $200 a month for 6 months. Tap Set my own if you'd rather pick the amount. Then tap Create Goal.
1:16 Add money to your goal
The new goal shows up in your list. Now let's put some money in. Tap Add funds on the laptop goal.
Enter the amount. I'll deposit $200. It comes out of the account at the bottom, and you can tap Change to use a different one. Tap Deposit.
1:36 Goal progress and goal ranks
The laptop goal is now 17% done and on track. Goals have their own ranks too. $40 more takes this one to D rank.
On the free plan you can have 2 goals at a time. Next, we'll set up your monthly budget. Links to download Hunter Vault are in the description.
