The Guild Code
Ground rules that protect you and us. Each accepted contribution also gets its own written agreement; this list isn't one.
Applying never guarantees acceptance.
Credit and portfolio links come with approved contributions.
Compensation and rewards are agreed before work starts.
Ownership, licensing, commercial use, modification and transfer rights are documented before your work is used.
You can showcase accepted work, as your agreement allows.
Applying or sharing samples never transfers ownership of your work.

Applying doesn't guarantee acceptance, and nothing is created until the terms are agreed.
Terms, compensation, credit and rights are always agreed before work begins. Here's how the rest works.
Who can contribute?
Graphic designers, UI/UX designers, illustrators, animators, motion designers and creative developers whose skills fit an open quest. You don’t have to be a Hunter Vault user, though trying the free app first helps you understand its style. Accepted work comes with a written agreement, so you need to be able to enter one where you live; for minors, that usually means involving a parent or guardian.
Do I need professional experience?
No. Students, hobbyists and early-career creators are welcome. We look at your portfolio, how well your style fits the quest and how you approach a brief, not job titles. Each quest card shows a difficulty rank from E (beginner friendly) to S, so you can pick one that matches where you are.
Is this a paid opportunity?
Sometimes. Depending on the quest and the scope, a contribution may be paid, rewarded with Hunter Pass access, or recognised with credit and a feature in the Hall of Contributors. What you receive is agreed with you in writing before any work begins. Credit and portfolio exposure are recognition, not a substitute for payment, and nothing is created for Hunter Vault until the terms are settled.
Who owns the artwork or designs?
You do, unless and until a written agreement says otherwise. Applying, or sharing samples with us, never transfers ownership or gives Hunter Vault the right to use your work. If a contribution is accepted, the agreement documents ownership, licensing, commercial use, modification and transfer rights, and attribution before your work is used in the app or in marketing.
Can I showcase my contribution in my portfolio?
Yes, for accepted work, within the terms of your agreement. The agreement spells out when and how you can show it; for example, a piece may need to stay private until it ships.
Will every submission be accepted?
No. A person reviews every application, and we only take on contributions that fit Hunter Vault’s style, roadmap and current needs. Applying doesn’t guarantee acceptance, credit or a reward. If we agree on a contribution, the agreement also covers what happens if the finished work isn’t used.
Can developers contribute too?
Creative developers are welcome, for example if you build interactive prototypes, web animations or motion work in code. There isn’t a dedicated developer quest yet, so choose “Open application” in the form and tell us what you’d like to build.
How will I know if my application is accepted?
We’ll email you at the address you applied with. If your application fits a quest, we’ll get in touch to discuss scope, rewards, credit and usage rights before anything is created. Replies can take a while when a quest gets a lot of interest, and you’re welcome to follow up at support@huntervault.app.
Can I use AI tools in my work?
Tell us in your application if AI tools are part of your process. Accepted work has to be original and come with clear commercial rights, so whether AI-assisted work is acceptable depends on the quest and is agreed before work begins.
How is this different from the Creator Code Program?
The Creator Code Program is for content creators who share Hunter Vault with their audience and earn commission through a creator code. The Contributors Program is for people who make things, such as art, designs and animations, that become part of Hunter Vault itself. You can apply to both.
